Torres arrived in Liverpool in 2007 and made an instant impact.
Surrounded by high quality players such as Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso, the Spainard flourished.
He scored 33 goals in his first season as a red, the most he had scored in one season as a professional.
He broke numerous records, including the most goals in a debut season in England by a foreigner and becoming the first player to score two hat tricks in a row since 1946.
However, for Torres, the best part of his debut season was the ability to play in the Champions League, Europe's largest club competition.
"There's a special feeling that surrounds every Champions League match. If you don't play in the Champions League, it's as if you don't exist," said Torres, in his autobiography. "Getting the chance to play in the Champions League was key to me leaving Madrid."
That season, Liverpool finished fourth and were eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Torres was so well-liked by fans that he was given his own song.

Torres' time at Liverpool
While Torres' time at Liverpool had tons of promise for the Reds, he didn't end up winning any major trophies.

He put up great numbers, but his team came up short.

He finished his Liverpool career with 81 goals in 142 games.

The closest the team came to glory was a second place finish in the 2008/2009 season.
